Swordsday, the 21'st day of Winterwane (Saturday, 21/03/2020) The adventurers started their journey trapped in sturdy metal cages guarded by armoured goblins, being transported to an unknown location to become "Balek servant", according to one of the goblin guards. The rocky unstable path the goblins chose to traverse was suddenly ambushed by a group of unknown mixed-race attackers, killing the goblin transporters and saving the adventurers, using a complicated pulley system and the destruction of the path to hoist them to freedom. Upon being freed from their cages, the adventurers met Kug Pretkag, an orc who seemed to lead a band of men trying to protect their region against the looming forces of Eldas. He directs the adventurers to the nearby town of Lostspire, a small populated area. The adventurers split, with Samael choosing to arrive on his own before the other adventurers. He quickly found the tavern in the town, The Yawning Portal, and almost immediately seduced two women in the tavern, Lillian and Kaer. The rest of the adventurers arrived soon after, drinks were bought, and rudimentary greetings were made as the group got to know each other, while Samael got to know the two women.(edited) As they talked of their previous experience and how they ended up in that situation, a lone man approached them after overhearing their conversation. He inquired about goblins, and whether they had anything to do with the adventurers capture. Upon hearing their story, the man quickly introduces himself as Kerowyn Hucrele, a reasonably wealthy merchant responsible for supplying Lostspire, and the neighbouring city Oakhurst, with food and other needed items. He tells them of his lost son and daughter, Talgen and Sharwyn Hucrele, who went to try to deal with the goblin invasion plaguing Oakhurst. He asked the adventurers if they could help him find out what happened to his children, and if they find them dead, to return each of their gold signet rings to him. In return, Kerowyn offered to pay 125 gold pieces per ring per adventurer, and would double the reward if the adventurers could bring the children back safe and alive. Kerowyn also allowed the adventurers to keep whatever else they find just desiring that his children, or what is left of them, are returned to him. The adventurers accepted his offer, and with great thanks he returned to his abode in Oakhurst for the night. The adventurers decide to room up in the tavern for the night, however Samael has other plans with the two girls from the tavern. Lillian offers him a bed in her small but quaint home in Lostspire, and after convincing Kaer to stay the night in Lillian's home, Samael has a very comfortable sleep in a one-person bed. [[File:The Cage.jpg|thumb|Cages used at the start of the campaign.]] After finishing their drinks, Caius and Daevalur decide to call it a night and moved to the rooms made available by the bartender. Caius fell asleep, and Daevalur began his regenerative trance. Gokher however, couldn't sleep without a fight beforehand, and decided to search for a worthy opponent. Vulmar took interest in Gokher's culture and tradition and decided to watch Gokher fight. After exiting the tavern, Gokher found a drunk human sitting on the bench in front of the tavern who seemed happy enough to fight Gokher, and stumbled to his feet, fists loosely raised. After a heavy punch from the drunk, Gokher tackled the man to the ground, where the drunk promptly knocked himself out trying to headbutt Gokher. Daevalur was unable to meditate through the noise of the fight, and decided to observe instead. Gokher picked the drunk up and placed him back on his bench, disguising the fact that the man had been in a fight reasonably well, except for the dribble of blood coming from his nose and running down his cheek. Gokher and Vulmar returned to their rooms to sleep out the night, while Daevalur brought the man to a medic. He later returned and meditated through the night. In the morning, the adventurers met in the tavern at six fingers from dawn, an early start to their quest. Kerowyn met them in the tavern, and after some breakfast, transported the adventurers to the neighbouring town of Oakhurst via horse and carriage. Oakhurst was significantly bigger than Lostspire, being home to more than 900 people. The town housed many facilities such as a newly-erected Shrine to Aziel, a blacksmith, and a tavern called the Ol' Boar Inn. The adventurers decided to search for clues as to where Kerowyn's son and daughter were last seen and where they went, and thought that the tavern would be the best place to start. After finding the tavern, the adventurers see the Ol' Boar Inn is a bustling busy social hub for Oakhurst, with three bartenders, two bards performing music, patrons and customers dancing, a fire pit, and multiple levels for people to drink on all packed with people. The group will make their next moves in the tavern, and perhaps might find some clues to lead them further along in finding the Hucrele siblings for their father, or may find some information about the goblin invasion.
