Becoming part of the cult[edit]
Often becoming part of the cult of Khorne is done by individuals in pursuit of power as they stumble upon a shrine or relic of the god of blood which upon interacting, will offer them power and other wishes they might have in life. Upon accepting this Khorne wil gain control of the individuals soul and demands sacrifices from them in return for promised powers
Worship Practices[edit]
The followers of Khorne lead a battle filled life, as they are tasked with sacrificial offerings to their god, these sacrifices must be made by offering blood up to their god by inscribing his symbol into a nearby surface where in turn it will absorb the blood spilled.
Within the cult there is the belief that the more blood has been shed the bigger the chance is that you will be noticed, this leads to followers using crude weapons made for spilling as much blood as possible before making a sacrifice. Examples of such grueling weapons are: a whip with multiple tails filled with nails, scythes and teethed swords.
The greatest sacrifice according to the most fanatic of the followers is at ones own end of life, either through old age or through battle, before passing they will attempt to carve the symbol of Khorne into their own body thus sacrificing all of their blood and being blessed to go and meet their god in the afterlife.
Leaving the Cult[edit]
Not much is known about members of the cult who wished to leave the service of their god, there have been tales of some being hunted down by their own members on orders, others have disappeared without ever having been heard of again.
One such “former” member Daevalur Sunmeadow has had Khorne’s voice and hand manifest in his mind demanding sacrifices, only to have demons hunt him down before leaving him alone for a while as the bloodshed from the battles states the god of blood.
Blessings[edit]
On occasions Khorne himself will grant faithful subject gifts of power to help them in their path. Most often these gifts will include blood in some way. It has been said that members of this cult have the power to draw the very blood out of their enemies while they still stand breathing.
Psalm of Khorne[edit]
While false gods weave me their lies
you speak to me with love
Reminding me, your child
You have bought me with your blood
