Appearance[edit]

The City of Order is a structured metropolis of chiseled stone and coloured slate rooftops housing residential districts, market streets, religious structures, and military training grounds. Three thick stone walls encompass the city; the largest encompassing the outside of the capital, another smaller wall within the city which divides outer buildings from the inner constructions, and a final inner wall surrounding the stronghold of the High King of Anaar.

Districts[edit]

Rosemore Vale[edit]

A multifaceted region, Rosemore Vale functions as a residential and entertainment district within the city. Homes here are relatively valuable due to their proximity to both Khenan Vale and Hearthsage Stronghold. Rosemore Vale is connected to Old Weststall via two archways in the low dividing wall between the districts, and joins with Khenan Vale via the Enrane's Arch bridge. Streets in Rosemore Vale are adorned with red banners dedicated to Anaar from trees dotted around the various roads.

Khenan Vale[edit]

Khenan Vale is one of the capital's wealthiest merchant districts, with many of the world’s rich merchants, powerful mages, or esteemed soldiers of Anaar purchasing or earning plots of land within. The district is linked to Claygate Point via a large northeastern gate and connects to Rosemore Vale via Enrane's Arch. Khenan Vale also has a connection to Hearthsage Stronghold. The buildings within are renovations of some of the oldest in the capital and combine dwarven metalworking with solid engineering taught in the Symmetrical University. Built to last, the properties available are extremely valuable. The district is one of the northeastern inner districts of the city and boasts a large collection of shops selling rare components, high quality weaponry, and the occasional magical item. Khenan Vale is visually distinctive due to the floral canopies above the roads, and soft purple glow emanating from magically conjured lights throughout the atmospheric streets.

Taudil and Taudil's Wonder Emporium[edit]

Run by Cogwint Taudil and his wife Drondrie Taudil, the Wonder Emporium sells exotic and valuable items, and is even capable of obtaining certain items on special order for customers.

The Third Wish[edit]

The Third Wish is a magical components shop run by the Petmaris family of elves. The shop is frequented by spellcasters throughout the capital, and can obtain many components required by spellcasters.

Old Weststall[edit]

Old Weststall is the remnants of the village the city grew from. The district features winding streets and wooden buildings in contrast to the stonework and order found throughout the rest of the capital. Old Weststall has begun renovations in recent times, however many older residents and historians fear this may erase the history of the city, and stand opposed to this public works project. Old Weststall enables the few less-than-legal endeavours that continue to survive in the city with its passageways and connection to Cardock Sea Port.

Claygate Point[edit]

North Calek[edit]

Alongside the Westmeadows, North Calek was constructed as the first part of an effort to increase the populous of the city and to enable more trade, faith, and soldier generation within the capital. It functions as a merchant district for incoming small businesses, be they run by residents of the city or by outside merchants. Its positioning adjacent to Alleron's Gate, the northwestern external gate, allows incoming travelers and traders to purchase or establish businesses within. The district was built to enable many types of trade including approved entertainment, goods, and services in a modular fashion. New small businesses are established in market stalls, which take the place of old businesses which may have failed. Over time, the swapping of businesses has led to a variety of cultures and design choices being amalgamated into a colourful bazaar, supplying general supplies, work, and the occasional foreign gem to residents of the city.

The Westmeadows[edit]

The Westmeadows is a recent effort on behalf of the High Council to expand the available residential space within the City of Order, enabling people from smaller villages in the Lands of Law to attain a higher standard of life. In reality, the rapid influx of people from small villages and towns quickly caused available work to dry up, and all space within the North Calek bazaar was snatched up by merchants and travelers. Many untrained civilians turned to the only available trade to make a living: smuggling. The Westmeadows, and it's proximity to North Calek and Alleron's Gate, makes it a perfect place for smugglers of illicit goods to offload their cargo within the city under the noses of the guards. As a result, the district is regularly policed by City Guard members attempting to stamp out crime. The Westmeadows feature small but sturdy residential buildings constructed in recent times, with dirtier streets and higher guard patrols compared to the rest of the capital.

Stability's Sanctuary[edit]

Stability’s Sanctuary is the largest cathedral ever constructed to Anaar. The grand building lies adjacent to the Symmetrical University and just north of Old Weststall. Within the enormous construction stands statues dedicated to Anaar made from every precious metal imaginable, red banners and décor adorning the clean, sturdy stone walls. The cathedral holds three full-sized church halls within, enabling the many ministers to run daily sermons at dawn, noon, afternoon, evening, and dusk.
